Hyderabad, December 09: The Congress party will hold a meeting with the representatives of farmers’ organisations to discuss the possible solutions to the problems being faced by farmers in the State.
Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee’s – Kisan Cell chairman M Kodanda Reddy told reporters here on Thursday that the meeting would be attended by several organisations and leaders representing the farmers in the State. The day-long meeting would discuss the problems being faced by farmers in all the three regions and would also prepare a list of demands for the government. The meeting will be held at Jubilee Hall from 10.30 am.
The concluding session would be attended by Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, who also hold Agriculture portfolio, and he would be presented a memorandum on behalf of the farmers. Kodanda Reddy hoped that the outcome of the meeting would benefit hundreds of distressed farmers in the State.
