Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu urged the UPA government to show its majority so that the people of the country may know which parties are with it. He alleged that there is only one ally of the Congress that is CPI.
Following the shutdown called by BJP led opposition parties demanding a cut in diesel and cooking gas prices and protesting against FDI, speaking to a press conference here on Thursday, Mr. M Venkaiah Naidu along with BJP spokesman Shahnawaz Husain was responding to the Congress claim that UPA has required members and the government will continue till 2014.
Mr. Venkaiah Naidu asked the Congress to prove its majority in the parliament and show its strength. He claimed that the UPA government has ruined the country through corruption and wrong decisions and it has lost moral right to rule the country.
