New Delhi, September 06: Buoyed by the victory in the Lok Sabha elections, Congress is going it alone in the assembly by-elections to 18 seats in Bihar keeping an equidistant from both RJD-LJP alliance and the NDA.
To woo the voters in what could be the semi-final before the Assembly elections next year, Congress is harping on the theme, “you have tried both RJD and NDA, now give us a chance for the turnaround of the state”.
“We are the natural choice in Bihar. We are highlighting the failure of the Nitish Kumar government in taking development to the poor and the downtrodden,” national spokesman of the party Shakeel Ahmed said.
He said the party is going it alone in the state and is contesting all 18 seats and has no truck with the RJD-LJP alliance.
