Cong to drag govt to court

New Delhi, january 25: The Congress is going to file a writ petition in the High Court against the SAD-BJP government for its failure to implement the promises made in the election manifesto during the last Assembly elections, said MP Ravnit Singh Bittu who was in the city today.

Bittu had come to appoint Navdeep Cheema as the general secretary of Youth Congress in Ludhiana district.

He said that Punjab government had failed to deposit even their share in Centre’s grant. Against Rs 4,000 crore, they have deposited only Rs 1,000 crore to the central government and hence had not been able to get all the schemes sanctioned.
