Cong. denounces Modi’s demonetisation & KCR’s silence, announces Aakrosh Diwas on Nov. 28

Hyderabad: TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy claimed that people are worried due to Modi’s demonetisation and KCR’s silence over the issue, hence he announced to observe ‘Aakrosh Diwas’ on November 28 across the country, to highlight the problems caused to people due to demonetisation. He asked the party activists to help people standing in bank queues and stage large scale protest.

Reddy chaired a meeting of TPCC office bearers at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday. On the occasion the problems faced by the people due to abolition of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes were reviewed. He asserted that public problems are continued even after a fortnight of demonetisation. Central government failed to practically implement the move. He assured that Congress will always cooperate with the centre in curbing black money but landing people in trouble for this is uncalled for, he said.

Mr. Reddy recalled that Modi had promised to deposit Rs. 15 lakh in each citizen’s bank account but after coming to power he is snatching away even the amount possessed by public. He said that prime minister’s decision has created chaos in the country and the economy is devastated. Even Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao has become mute after meeting with PM. He failed to provide double bedroom houses to poor people while got a luxurious bullet-proof building complex constructed for himself at a cost of Rs 40 crore.
