Cong, BJP complaint to CEO on Medak bypoll

Congress and BJP today complained to Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal that the ruling TRS party is misusing official machinery in Medak bypoll. The leaders who called on Bhawnarlal at Secretariat here sought necessary action in this regard.

Speaking to media persons, they alleged that the ruling party is trying to lure electors with a list of crop loan waiver. They criticized that the Govt is resorting to misuse of power by pressing officials into campaign related works. Some of the officials are directly participating in the campaign, they criticized. They asked that vote slips be given to the voters in advance besides giving a free hand to exercise their franchise in peaceful manner. TRS leaders denied the allegations that the Government was misusing power for winning in the bypoll.

Those who met Bhanwar Lal include Kodanda Reddy and Niranjan from Congress, K Lakshman and Premchendra Reddy from BJP, TDP leader R Chendrashekhar Reddy. (NSS)
