Cong alone to be blamed for T tangle: CPM MLA

Hyderabad, July 06: The ruling party is by itself the only one to be blamed for the inordinate delay in resolving the Telangana issue, which claimed scores of lives and resulted in lopsided development, said CPM Legislator from Miryalaguda in Nalgonda district Julakanti Rangareddy on Tuesday.

Addressing media persons at the Secretariat on Tuesday, Mr Julakanti Rangareddy criticized the Congress party which had been postponing a decision to settle the issue with an ulterior motive.

“It did not spell out any clear programme to resolve the issue despite public representatives from Telangana region tendered their resignations to register their protest,” the MLA said.

He continued, “The Congress leadership took no cognisance of the serious protests across the Telangana region.”

Union Home Minister P Chidambaram’s stand adopting was criticized by the MLA who said that it was an ‘escapist attitude.’ He said it was shameful that the national party chose to put the burning problem on back burner.

Expressing concern over the delay attitude of the ruling party, Mr Rangareddy demanded that it was time the Congress shed the opportunistic politics and take steps to clear the uncertainty over the regional problem.
