Conflict-free corridors in city to improve traffic mobility

Chandrasekhar Rao who is keen to reduce traffic growls and provide relief to the motorists had orderd the GHMC to develop few corridors as Conflict-free Corridors (CFCs) for improving overall traffic mobility.

With this CFCs, the speed of long distance traffic without any accidents icreases substantially and to reduce traffic congestion invited consultancy services for preparation of a feasibility report for comprehensive development of six corridors as CFCs.

In the first phase, GHMC proposed six major roads as CFCs that include NFCL-Masab Tank-Mehidipatnam-Rethibowli-Gachibowli Outer Ring Road (ORR)-Kothaguda-Allwyn Crossroads, Miyapur (22 km). Allwyn crossroads Miyapur-BHEL-Patancheru (13 km).

Kothaguda Junction-Hitec City- Madhapur-Road No 36-Jubilee Hills Check-post (9 km), Habsiguda-Nacharam-Mallapur-NFC-ECIL (9 km), LB Nagar-Owaisi Hospital-Chandrayangutta-Aramgarh (15 km) and Aramgarh-Bahadurpura-Muslimjung Bridge (10 km).

The existing major road network in Hyderabad has countless problems associated with inadequate road width, improper drainage facilities, inadequate pedestrian facilities like footpaths, etc, leading to increase in pressure on existing road network. Consultants have to submit their bids before April 20.

Keeping this in view, GHMC has proposed to develop six corridors as CFCs to improve the overall traffic mobility.
