Confiscation of sacrificial animals condemnable

According to the press note of Maulana Maqsood Yamani (organiser) authorities of the Deeni Madaris Board Andhra Pradesh in a joint statement deplored the confiscation of animals of sacrifice and government’s backing in the tyrannous act. They asserted that it is intervention in religious freedom of Muslims and a blot on the face of secularism.

In addition to this, it is like landing poor Muslims in further trouble and depriving religious madrasas from a key source of funds. Qurbani is obligatory in Islam and very few can afford to slaughter goat or ram.

Board has urged the government to put a curb on such kind of incidents and prevent communal forces from taking law into their own hand.
