Today the Cyber Crime Police, CCS, DD, Hyderabad nabbed one Kurangi Benna Vidyasagar, 20, of Sampathnagar, Agraharam, Guntur district, who cheated innocence people especially aged persons, who could not operate the ATM card properly.
Dy. Commissioner of Police, Detective Department CCS, Hyderabad stated that the modus operandi of the accused was to introduce himself as a mechanic of ATM Machine or security guard. After gaining confidence of the card holder, he operates their ATM cards by taking their PIN number.
He used to withdraw the cash and steal the card. He goes to another ATM center and with draws the remaining cash from the account. The police seized about Rs 1 lakh and recovered one SBI ATM card from his possession. He was arrested earlier by Market P.S., Old Guntur L&O P.S., and Tirupathi East PS in similar offences and sent to Jail.
A Team lead by Inspector Majid Ali Khan, SI Venu Gopal, Police Constables Satish, Mahesh, Sekhar, Raghu and Narsimha cracked the case and apprehended the accused.
