Telugu Desam founder and former Chief Minister late N. T. Rama Rao’s 21st death anniversary was observed in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States.
Nandamuri Balakrishna paid tributes to his father at NTR statue at Rasoolpura. Speaking on the occasion, the actor said that late NTR worked for the upliftmet of the masses in the state. Through his relentless efforts he made a place in people’s hearts, Mr Balakrishna said. He said that the AP government would exert pressure on the Centre to confer Bharat Ratna on the former CM.
Meanwhile, Bhuvaneshwari, NTR’s daughter and wife of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, today visited NTR ghat and garlanded his statue. Former MP N Harikrishna along with his sons Kalyan Ram and Junior NTR also visited the NTR Ghat and paid floral tributes. Scores of party workers also paid their tributes to the former CM. (INN)
