Nalgonda, March 13: The condition of Jyoti, a housewife of Anishetty Duppalapalli, under Tipparti police station limits, who is undergoing treatment at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad after consuming ‘prasadam’ given by a ‘cheat’ Keshav Rao and falling sick in the village on Friday, has improved. Her daughter, Anusha (16) who had also taken ill along with her father Joseph after vomiting, is recuperating, police said. However, the condition of Joseph continues to be serious. The fourth member of the family, Vandana (12) died on the way to the Government Hospital here after she too consumed ‘prasadam’ prepared by Rao after performing ‘naga pooja’ in an attempt to treat Anusha, following her illness. Police said they hoped to make headway in the case once Jyoti and Anusha were able to give information, mostly likely on Sunday.
