A number of people, most of them physically disabled persons and unwaged youth, were cheated by a Con artist at Siricilla town of Karimnagar district The issue was came to light on Tuesday. The accused was identified as Kodam Srinivas.
The accused doing fraudulence for the past five years by promising the disabled persons and unemployed youth that he would leave no stone unturned to get jobs to the unemployed youth and bank loans to disabled persons.
With this promise, he had collected variable amounts from the individuals. After realizing that they could not get jobs or bank loans, the injured party tried to hand him over to the police.
On the other hand, the accused was not available in the town for the past six months. The physically challenged persons who had paid money to Srinivas include Eldandi Sud-hakar Rs 15,000; Bomma Narasaiah Rs 65,000; Komurelli Sriramulu Rs 15,000 and Bachu Alcesh Rs 2.25 laid’s.
Besides these persons, several other youths also paid money to K Srinivas, the con-artist. Biyyamkari Srinivas, president of Poura Sankshema Samithi (PSS), a voluntary organization and the victimized persons, while speaking to the media on Tuesday, pleaded the police and other officials to take action against the offender and see that they got back their money.
