Mr. Mirza Farooq Baig, Secretary General of United Journalists’ Council of India told that the questions on translation from English to Telugu and Telugu to English which is compulsory has created tension among the students. He told that the students of English medium no knowledge of Telugu and hence it is difficult for them to pass X class examination. Taking into consideration of the difficulties of Urdu and English Medium students, Govt. of Telangana has lowered the pass marks from 35 to 20. Mr. Farooq Baig further told that not only the students are put to difficulty by imposing this compulsory question on them but the teachers who value the answer scripts may also find it difficult to evaluate these papers. He requested Department of Education of Govt. of Telangana to withdraw this compulsory question from X class examination.
