Compromise on Hyderabad for Union Territory unacceptable: Kondandaram

(Siasat News) Prof. K. Kondandaram, Chairman of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee told that the organization ready for another new battle for the formation of separate Telangana state consisting of (10) districts. Commenting on the recommendations of GOM for imposing certain conditions on the status of Hyderabad. Prof. Kondandarm told that the separate Telangana state should be constituted with (10) districts and with full powers. If Central Govt. imposes any restrictions on Hyderabad, Telangana Political JAC will opposes it. He also opposed the demarcation of the boundaries of separate Telangana afresh. He said that Bhadrachalam project should be included in Telangana since it is a part of Khammam districts. He dismissed the claims of Seema Andhra leaders on Bhadrachallam since they are making this demand keeping in view Polawaram Project and not for any love or affection for the people of Bhadrachalam but for fulfilling their vested interests. He told that Seema Andhra leaders have made various proposals for getting water from Nagarjuna Sagar illegally. He also dismissed the apprehensions of the people of Seema Andhra about distribution of water, services, energy and other issues.

He categorically rejected the proposal of declaring Hyerabad a Union Territory and said that there is no question of accepting any such proposal. He threatened that Telangana Political JAC is prepared to wage a new war for this. He declared that the romours of imposing certain conditions on Hyderabad are regrettable. It is the duty of Congress leaders of Telangana to force the Central Govt. to form separate Telangana state with (10) districts of the region. We want Telangana according to the resolution passed by Congress Working Committee. He said that Telangana Political JAC will make an attempt to muster support for Telangana from various political parties. A delegation of TPJAC will visit New Delhi for this purpose.

He alleged that Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy is creating hurdles in the formation of Telangana and inciting the people of Seema Andhra so that the process of formation of state could be stopped. He hoped that President of India or the judiciary will not put any hurdles in the formation of separate Telangana state. He appealed to all the leaders and parties supporting Telangana to be elert till the bill is passed in the Parliament.
