Hyderabad: Mr. Mohammed Shakeel Amer, TRS MLA of Bodhan who is also the chairman of Minorities House Committee of Telangana Assembly visited 700 year old Dargah Hazrat Jahangir Peeran yesterday. He informed that Govt. of Telangana has prepared a comprehensive plan for the development of Dargah Hazrat Jahangir Peeran. Care has been taken to provide basic amenities to the pilgrims. He told this while addressing a review meeting held at the said Dargah yesterday. He informed that in 1978, Wakf Board purchased 25 acres of Govt. land but it was not entered in revenue records. He instructed revenue officials to transfer this land into Wakf Board records. He assured that the tank located near the Dargah would be developmed on the lines of Husain Sagar Tank Bund. He lamented that despite spending Re. 1 lakh, there is not sufficient strength of the students in the Urdu medium high school run by Dargah Committee. He told the local MLA, Mr. Anjiah Yadav that Telangana wants to establish a modern residential school for which he would make representation to the CM. He also told that Govt. of Telangana is making an attempt to provide executive powers to Wakf Board.
Mr. Anjaiah Yadav, MLA assured that all possible help would be extended for providing basic amenities to the pilgrims.
