Panchayat Raj Minisiter Jupally Krishna Rao today directed the officials concerned to complete Rs 500-crore worth employment guarantee scheme works in three months.
The minister conducted a high-level review meeting with the officials here on Saturday and asked them to complete the works by the end of financial year March 31 and provide 100 days work for the coolies. Krishna Rao directed that the s should be completed by end of March, including construction of village panchayat buildings, Vaikunta Dhamams, toilets in schools and farm ponds and toilet in every house by December end.
Stating to reach the target to raise fruit gardens under employment guarantee scheme, protect the saplings under Haritha Haram in nurseries, start works in all clusters under Rurban scheme and complete watershed works in villages, he stressed the need of completion of the employment guarantee scheme works worth Rs 500 crore to provide 100 days of work. He said the officials would take special care on green drive, toilets and deposit the funds directly into the accounts of the workers by removing them from the banks and post offices.
The minister also asked them to take up a publicity using mike in villages on plantation and protection steps on employment scheme to provide guarantee works to the people.
