Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today directed Railway officials to construct new railway lines, complete pending railway projects, besides setting up new lines on war footing in Telangana State.
At a review meeting attended by the SCR General Manager Srivastava, and other officials at Secretariat here, the Chief Minister wanted that all the railway works be completed without delay. Besides bringing funds from the Center, the railway officials should take up modernization works immediately, KCR said. He asked the officials to take initiative for Kazipet division, Wagon factory and connecting new lines of Manoharabad- Kothapalli, Peddapalli and Nizamabad. The Chief Minister also directed the officials to develop Hyderabad Railway Transport System, modernize Secunderabad Railway Station, extend MMTS second phase of works to Toopran and Shamshabad.
