Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today directed the officials concerned to complete the work of land records cleansing in three months in a transparent manner.
The farmer coordination committees, first of their kind are meant for fixing remunerative prices for farm produce which will be a record at national level, Harish Rao claimed.
Addressing an awareness program of farmers’ coordination committee here on Thursday, the minister said the land records survey will be taken in the districts from Friday. He slammed the Opposition parties for moving the courts against the crop investment scheme of the government. The details of the lands will be obtained by the teams of officials and will continue till the end of December, the minister said.
“The officials should complete the land survey process by December and by New Year Day land records will be totally cleansed up. The State will get comprehensive details of land data across the districts and get them online for accountability and transparency. Irrespective of caste, religion and political party, every farmer will get Rs 8,000 per acre for two crops in the State. The land survey will get factual details of the lands and benefit will be given to the eligible farmers”.
He said, “Every Mandal will get a registration office and a conference hall for farmers to discuss their problems and find lasting solutions. Our aim was to make agriculture a festival, which was so far known for incurring losses and debts resulting in suicides by farmers”, he said. The farmers committees will see that the crop gets MSP and make benefits from crop investment, he said. (NSS)
