Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today asked the officials concerned to take the speed of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who wants the completion of various projects on a jet speed.
At a high level review meeting here, Harish Rao set a deadline for various projects such as preparation of a thorough plan for completing the Kaleshwaram project in 18 months. He directed the officials to complete design of the project in 30 days, asked the agency to launch the related works in 15 days and finalizing the agreement in 7 days as ESE and Advisor will be visiting the project on Saturday. Since the Chief Minister giving top priority to the prestigious Kaleshwaram, the engineers and other staff should work actively in tandem to complete three barrages and reservoirs and monitor the works continuously. He said that the Chief Minister will be holding a meeting with his Maharashtra counterpart Devendra Fadnavis on July 15 to review the projects.
The Minister directed on phone Karimnagar Collector to expedite the project and handover land acquisition to Mandhani RDO and set up camps in 15 days at Medigadda, Sundilla and Annaram barrage areas for continuous monitoring related works. He also asked to begin the pump house and barrage works of the Kaleshwaram project. (NSS)
