Complete investigation in Ibrahim Yafai murder case within 90 days: HC to cops

The Andhra Pradesh High Court today asked the Chandrayangutta Police to complete investigation into the murder of Ibrahim Bin Younus Yafai and file a final report within three months.

The court also stayed the criminal proceedings against Mohammed Bin Omer Yafai aka Mohammed Pahelwan and others in Akbaruddin attack case.

Disposing the writ petition filed by Awadh Bin Younus Yafai the brother of the deceased, Justice KC Bhanu directed the Chandrayangutta Police complete its investigation in Cr.No.313/2012 (Murder case) that was registered against the MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, Malakpet MLA Ahmed Balala, gunman Jani Mia and MIM corporator Mansoor Awalgi for allegedly killing Ibrahim Yafai at Chandrayangutta Barkas on April 30, 2011.

The judge has also stayed all the criminal proceedings against Mohammed Pahelwan and others till the completion of the murder case investigation.

Last week Awadh Yafai approached High Court pleading to pass direction to club Ibrahim Yafai’s murder case along with their case of 307 (attempt to murder) alleged attack on Akbaruddin Owaisi.

Awadh in his earlier complaint filed with the Chandrayangutta police alleged the on April 30 Balala’s gunman JaniMia has come to their sresidence at Barkas and called the male members of his family saying that Akbaruddin Owaisi is calling them to the MIM party office of the local Mansoor Awalgi.

When they reached the party office Akbaruddin Owaisi was carrying gun in his hand and upon seeing Awad and his family members threatened and intimidate them and shouted in a filthy language and abused the women folk of their family. Awad further alleged that they got angry over the abuse while Ibrahim Yafai could not resist himself and Akbaruddin Owaisi to speak properly, upon which the Chandrayagutta MLA caught hold of Ibrahim Yafai’s collar with left hand and holding the gun in right hand. The gunman Jani Mia also fired at Awad and others without any warning due to which they received injuries the complaint alleged.

Earlier the Chandrayangutta Police have registered a murder case against Akbaruddin Owaisi,Ahmed Balala and Gunman Jani Mia and taken up investgation.
