Housing Minister A Indrakaran Reddy today appealed to the Ministers and legislators to take initiative in speedy completion of the double bedroom housing scheme across the state. The minister wrote separate letters to the ministers and MLAs to take active role in finding the land in coordination with district officials. The state government has started the prestigious program to provide permanent shelter to the poor he said. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has the plan to complete the housing projects at the earliest and the ministers have to play key role he said. Providing housing to the poor to live in complete self respect and without need of spending single paise is the brainchild of the chief minister, Indrakaran Reddy said. The government plans to build about 2.60 lakhs of houses of double bedrooms to the poor and has announced to build 1400 houses in each of the Assembly segment. The ministers and legislators should take active role in finding the suitable land for constructing quality houses in one year in coordination with the collectors.
He also asked to prepare beneficiaries list at the earliest in transparent manner. (NSS)
