Roads and Buildings Minister T Nageshwar Rao today said that his department has taken up construction of prestigious buildings and get back its sheen of providing better facilities to various departments.
At a review meeting he said that his department is constructing several buildings for various departments. He said that they have taken up the works of buildings for Police Command Control Center worth Rs 350 cr, Telangana Kala Bharathi worth Rs 300 cr, 26 Collectorate buildings each at a cost of Rs 35 cr, 104 MLA Residential and office quarters each at a cost of Rs 1 crore and Telangana Martyrs Memorial with Rs 80 cr, Abmdekar Smrithi Vanam and other projects.
He asked the officials concerned to maintain better quality and complete the works on time. Since Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is keen on completion of these buildings the officials should coordinate to complete the works and get good name to the department. Rao said that KCR gave green signal to fill up 106 AE posts and ready to fill up other vacant posts and promotions will be offered to the staff for strengthening the department. The officials discharging better will be recognized properly and those who neglect will be dealt with seriously. (NSS)
