The weekly Minority Grievance Cell for redressal of grievances pertaining to Minority Welfare institutions was held on Monday at Hajj House. Secretary Director Urdu Academy Prof. S A Shukoor monitored the grievance cell. General Manager Minority Finance Corporation Vilayat Husain besides officials of Waqf Board, Finance Corporation, Hajj Committee and other institutions attended the meeting.
In yesterday’s meeting complaints regarding Waqf Board and Minority Finance Corporation were received. A large number of students complained regarding non-receipt of scholarship and fee-reimbursement. Officials of finance corporation attributed non-receipt of scholarship to non-fulfilling the required norms in filling up the forms.
It must be noted that still Rs. 130 crore are to be released towards scholarship and fee-reimbursement from the budget of financial year 2013-14.
