After reports of three Ugandan women being held hostage by a drug mafia came to light, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) spokesperson Ashutosh on Tuesday said this reflected that the party was right about the drug and sex racket, and had rightly conducted the raid in South Delhi some weeks ago.
“These three women have clearly mentioned that there was a drug and sex racket going on. What more proof do you need now?” asked Ashutosh.
“This clearly shows that we were right about the ongoing drug and sex racket and the developments following the raid had been planned by political parties, it was a conspiracy against us,” he said.
“Drug mafia, police and very strong political parties were involved in it and they did not want to get exposed, that is why they acted against us,” he added.
On Monday, three Ugandan women had filed a complaint with help from the Delhi Government and sought intervention from the External Affairs Ministry seeking protection for them.
According to media reports, the “drug mafia” had taken their passports and other important documents away.
The victims had told a television channel that they were promised jobs in India, but were forced into prostitution once they landed in the country. (ANI)
