“We are studying this complaint and further course of action will be decided accordingly,” he said.
Nigam today got his head tonsured by a celebrity hairstylist at a press conference here in response to a ‘fatwa’ by a Muslim cleric who took strong exception to the Bollywood playback singer’s tweets .
On Monday, 43-year-old Singer, Sonu Nigam tweeted, “God bless everyone. I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India”.
He also tweeted on temple and gurudwara. He said, “I don’t believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity To wake up people who don’t follow the religion . Why then..? Honest? True?”
These tweets by Sonu Nigam created uproar in the country.
