On Tuesday, a woman made steps towards the State Human Rights Commission and lodged a complaint of attempted rape against a Sub-Inspector of Alwal police station. She also avowed that the SI and his co-conspirator threatened to kill her.
The complainant M. Lavanya, is a married woman and stays alone at Bhuvanalinga Temple in Alwal.
Based on the complaint, HRC directed the ACP of Alwal to submit a report by March 15. G. Prakash Rao, ACP Alwal, said, “I have not received the notice yet. But, would examine the context of the complaint.”
