Hyderabad, July 28: Members of Telugu Nadu Students Federation on Wednesday lodged a complaint against Telangana Congress MPs K Kesava Rao, Ponnam Prabhakar, G Vivek, Madhu Yaskhi and Manda Jagannatham with the Banjara Hills police, stating that the leaders had disrespected the National Flag.
The complainants said that the Congress MPs from Telangana had disrespected the National Flag when they hoisted the Telangana flag higher than the National Tricolour at Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi on Tuesday, as part of the ‘flag festival.’
In a statement after filing the complaint, the Telugu Nadu Students Federation questioned the MPs, who represent the highest law making bodies, how they could disrespect the National Flag.
The Federation demanded that the government immediately arrest the MPs and take action against them as per laws.
