A complaint was lodged with the Lok Ayukta, asking that a comprehensive investigation be ordered on the reported money laundering scam of minister Sailajanath.
High Court lawyer Arun Kumar filed this petition. He said that it was dangerous that the minister stood as surety for Hari Prasad, owner of a doctor of Tirupati. He has mentioned in the petition that this incident was proof that ministers themselves were resorting to corruption and irregularities. He said the Lok Ayukta should register cases against ministers and bank officials who were misusing their positions for getting a quick buck. (NSS)
