One Rajeshwari of Kurnool district has lodged a complaint against Panyam MLA Katasani Rambhoopal Reddy in the State Human Rights Commission alleging that the legislator and his supporters were torturing her mentally and physically.
In her complaint, Rajeshwari has alleged that Rambhoopal Reddy was trying to grab lands of the local SC and ST persons and bore grudge against her for trying to frustrate his land grabbing activities. She alleged that the MLA was intimidating her criminally by orchestrating attacks on her. She also alleged that the MLA has not only grabbed her house, but also made attempts to liquidate her physically.
Alleging that the local police and higher authorities have failed to respond to her complaints and render justice, Rajeshwari pleaded with the SHRC to intervene and provide protection from the MLA. (NSS)
