Complaint against Ananthamurthy over Modi remark

Jnanapith awardee U R Ananthamurthy has to face trouble as a complaint has been lodged against with Sanjaynagar police for his controversial remarks against the Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi.

Accordng to Manjunath and Prakash, members of an organisation named “Nonda Bharathiyaru,” in their complaint stated that the writer is only trying to muddle up communal harmony by saying that he would leave the country if Modi became the prime minister.

Few others too signed the complaint. There has been no case against Ananthamurthy yet. The police are contemplating to transfer the complaint to the Election Commission. But, a decision in this regard would be taken after consulting senior officers and experts, said the police.
