Compensation to Muslim youths: Function on 6th Jan

Hyderabad, December 29: Govt. of A.P. will organize an official function on 6th January 2012 to award compensation to the Muslim youths who were falsely implicated in criminal cases after the Makkah Masjid Bomb Blast. It is said that Mr. Ahmedullah, Minister for Minorities Welfare consulted CM and fixed the date as 6th January for holding the function to distribute compensation.

In addition to this, they will also be given a good conduct certificate by the Govt. which would be helpful in their career.

Mr. Ahmedullah is in Saudi Arabia for performing Umrah. He will be back on 2nd January 2012.

It may be noted that National Minorities Commission had recommended to the State Govt. for giving compensation to the innocent youths arrested by the police in fake cases.

Rs. 70 lakh have already been released to A.P. State Minorities Finance Corporation. Under this scheme, 20 youths would be given Rs. 3 lakh each. Another batch of 30 youths who were injured will be given Rs. 20 thousand each.

Mr. Wajahat Habeebullah, Chairman National Minorities Commission had met these victims at Siasat office and sought information. He had met the CM of A.P. and invited his attention for the payment of compensation and also for the implementations of other recommendations suggested by the commission.

He applauded Mr. Zahid Ali Khan for the efforts he made for getting justice to these victims. The affected Muslim youths had met Mr. Habeebullah recently at the residence of Mr. Zahid Ali Khan and had thanked him for making these recommendations.
