Community will progress only after shunning extravagance and dowry

Mr. Zahed Ali Khan editor Siasat and distinguished industrialist Mr. Khudadad Khan (NRI) are among the philanthropic personalities who work selflessly for others. Their aim is community development and to impart education to youth, to make the marriages of unmarried girls easier and to encourage youth for attaining education through financial help.

Addressing a public meeting organized by Tanzeemul Masajid and Millat Islamia Welfare Society at Madina Function Hall, Siddipet Mr. Zahed Ali Khan editor Siasat revealed that a number of Muslim girls are crossing marriageable age due to dowry evil. Seeing the Muslim girls going astray, Siasat daily started organizing Du Ba Du programme.

Mr. Zahed Ali Khan exhorted Muslims to shun extravagance and dowry tradition and claimed that only then the community will progress.

Mr. Khudadad Khan gave away a cheque of Rs 4 lakh 20 thousand to provide interest free loans and another cheque of Rs 3 lakh to give pension to widows.
