Community Corporate Leaders come together to improve employability of fresh graduates

Recent surveys of graduate employability in India, such as the one conducted by Wheebox, have shown that the general employability of graduates is quite poor. These reports show that the graduates are especially found lacking in the areas of English Language, Cognitive Skills, Personality and Soft Skills.

With the current industry trend moving towards the recognition of skills over qualification, students and graduates find it quite hard to crack interview rounds due to inadequate focus given to skills training at their institutions. In order to help graduates overcome these challenges, Life Bridge a Bangalore based initiative conceptualized by mPower Foundation has been founded through the efforts of Industry Leaders and International Trainers.

Life Bridge is the first of its kind endeavor that has been started with the vision of enhancing employment amongst graduates, imparting world-class business and soft skills required for sustained performance and career success, meeting the ever-growing industry demand for suitable talent at the entry level.

Life Bridge offers a one month intensive training program which includes custom designed key module “Campus to Corporate”, simulated weekend projects, exhaustive mock interview process followed by rigorous evaluation process. From effective communication skills, value based leadership coaching to comprehensive Office Package training, resume building and job hunting skills, the Life Bridge course covers topics that a graduate would need to enter and excel in current challenging corporate world.

Corporates such as ‘mPower Global’ experts in IT Services , ‘Arham Faraaz Leadership Academy’ pioneer in Leadership and corporate Trainings and ‘Talentera Consulting’ recruitment specialist have pooled in their ideas and experiences to make Life Bridge a grand success. All this with the focus to enable young graduates to crack the interviews and step into their first dream job.

Life Bridge Leadership Team:

Mr. Abdullah, Director of Life Bridge and CEO of mPower Global, has 15 years varied experience working in diverse management roles in different industries like Software, Branding, Recruitment, BPO and Management Consulting in India and abroad. Mr. Abdullah says, “majority of graduates undervalue the importance of soft skills. I have come across very bright technical graduates who have tough time in getting the right job, which eventually leads to demotivation and depression. Life Bridge will empower the deserving new graduates to achieve their dream job. The organization is NGO but will run on lines of a corporate with high level of accountability and measure, God willingly.”

Mr. Syed Habeeb, Director of Life Bridge passionate international Leadership Coach and HR Director at mPower, believes that “everyone is gifted, but only few open the package”. All we need to turn around the challenges of employability is to get the graduates to “open this package of their potential” through structured and personal training. Having trained over 34,000 individuals worldwide, Mr. Habeeb brings his 20+ years experience in the international business industry and his decade long stint as a coach to Life Bridge. He affirms “training is a little thing that can make a big difference”. Working predominantly with the youth, Mr.Habeeb believes that empowering them to get good jobs will make a tangible difference to the nation and world at large.

Mr. Arhaam Faraaz, Chief Mentor Life Bridge, Bestselling Author and Leadership Coach says, the program aims tos bridge the gap between campus and corporate by enabling effective communication skills of the students. We aim to build more confidence through our trainings so that they can express their thoughts in a Group Discussion or a Personal Interview and overcome the competition.

The team also includes young talents from diverse backgrounds such as Social Entrepreneurship, Youth Development, Project Management and Recruitment Specialist. This combination of experience and exuberance is what sets Life Bridge Leadership apart.

Merit Based Scholarship:

Life Bridge is a NGO and the primary motivation of the initiative is to help the deserving candidates to find their jobs. However, to ensure the opportunity is taken with responsibility and commitment, Life Bridge will offer scholarships starting from 25% to 100% based on the situation of the individual, referral source and our back ground evaluation.

The uniqueness of the program is not only in its focus or team but also in its scholarship scheme. While the registration fee for the program is already a modest one, participants are offered further incentive through performance based scholarship. With a mantra of ‘Give 100%, Get 100%’, the participants get a refund equivalent to their scores on assessment at the end of the program.

Thus bringing together experienced mentors and relevant resources, Life Bridge operates on a corporate mindset with a service outlook. Today, India stands amongst the leading growth destinations and the number of job opportunities is on the rise. Therefore it becomes the need of the hour to have the foresight to invest in the youth and to inspire them to be an integral part of our Nation’s growth story.Courtesy:Karnataka muslims
