In wake of the ghastly terror attack in Peshawar, Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D Raja on Sunday said that Pakistan has to realize that it has to respond to the call of the international community to fight terrorism.
” The Pakistan Government should realize that it has to respond to the call of the international community in the fight against terrorism, and Pakistan will have to join the coordinated collective effort in the struggle against terrorism ,” he told ANI here.
Raja, who was reacting to reports about Pakistan showing its inclination to carry out coordinated operations with Afghanistan against terrorists along the common border, also said Islamabad has to make it absolutely clear that it won’t allow any terrorist outfit to use its soil.
“And above all Pakistan should make it clear that Pakistan will not allow any terrorist outfit to use its soil for terror activities,” he said.
According to reports, Pakistan’s National Security and Foreign Affairs Adviser Sartaj Aziz has said that his nation and neighbouring Afghanistan have agreed to carry out coordinated operations against terrorists along the common border.
Aziz’s remarks came after Pakistan’s Army Chief General Raheel Sharif visited Kabul on Wednesday. (ANI)
