Vice President Telangana Congress Mohammad Ali Shabbir blamed Hindutva forces including BJP of saffronising the country. Addressing a press conference he claimed that RSS and Vishwa Hindu Parishad were emboldened during BJP government and Hindutva forces were working on their secret agenda. However Congress would not let them succeed in their nefarious plans, he said.
Citing Ahmadabad Municipal Corporation he told that orders were issued on January 19, to all 450 schools including 64 Urdu medium schools obligating them to recite ‘Saraswati Vandana’ while nearly 16 thousand Muslim children studied in the school. He told that India was a secular country hence making it compulsory to recite Saraswati Vandana would be considered as direct intervention in the religion of Islam and other religions.
