Communal politics promoted after independence

(Siasat News) Addressing the commemorative meeting in honor of Shaheed Ashfaq Ullah Khan, organized by Telangana Muslim Advocates’ Forum, Maulana Abdul Raheem Qureshi, President of All India Majlis-e-Tameer-e-Millat and Asst. General Secretary of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, said that the British distorted the history of freedom struggle of India which resulted in promoting communal politics to communal minded political parties.

The meeting was conducted in the premises of Nampally, Criminal Court. Mr. Ismail Ahmed, Mr. M. Veda Kumar, Mr. P. Yadagiri, Mr. G.A.C. Rajender Reddy and other advocates and supporter of Telangana address the gathering. Mr. Waheeduddin, Advocate conducted the meeting.

Continuing his speech Maulana Abdul Rahim Qureshi told that the study of real history of freedom struggle of India will be helpful in promoting communal harmony. He further told that before recollecting the freedom struggle of India we have to remember Mr. Ramprasad Bismil and Ashfaqullah Khan who were hanged at separate places simultaneously. He further told that Mr. Ashfaqullah Khan was a staunch Muslim and Mr. Ramprasad Bismil was associated with Arya Samaj. Both were the strict followers of their religion but both of them joined together in the freedom struggle of India and exhibited an example of Communal harmony. He told that we got inspiration to fight and struggle unitedly from these two personalities. He stressed the need to study the real historical material of a freedom struggle instead of reading the history written by the British or the communal elements. The study of real history of India independent will prove to be a great source of foiling the evil designs and conspiracies of the communal elements of this country.
