Patna: Urging the people of Bihar to strengthen the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ alliance, Shivpal Yadav, brother of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, on Sunday, indirectly referring to the BJP, said it had weaved a ‘false magic’ on the nation.
“A lot of big decisions have been taken in this place. And even today, there is a need for change. About a year back, cunning and communal people had spread a false magic on this country, but such false magic will not last long. That magic has failed, and now, you have to bring about a change,” Yadav said in his address at the Swabhimaan Rally here.
“When Bihar and Uttar Pradesh come together then the change cannot be stopped….I urge the people of Bihar to strengthen this alliance, and win this battle in Bihar,” he added.
Yadav further described Bihar as the land of braves, scholars and saints.
The Swabhiman Rally began here on Sunday with RJD chief Lalu Yadav, JD (U) national president Sharad Yadav, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Shivpal Singh Yadav, brother of Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav attending it.
The rally is also being attended by Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
