Communal elements created hurdles in establishing a Deeni Madrasa. Not only this, the hotel owner who is cooperating in the construction work is being boycotted socially. This tragic incident occurred in Masri Michiyal village of Cheriyal Mandal in Jangaon Assembly constituency of Warangal District.
According to the details received, a Deeni Madrasa by name Tajul Uloom was being established. The village Gram Sabha passed resolution against it.
According to the statement by the Director of the Madrasa, Hafiz Naushad Alam, a plot of land was purchased from Ramana Reddy and the residents of the village were informed about the establishment of Deeni Madrasa.
Initially, they agreed to grant permission for its construction. At that time, the secretary of Gram Panchayat was on leave. When the meeting of Gram Sabha was convened later, the construction of Deeni Madrasa was opposed. Not only this, the Secretary of Gram Sabha locked the Madrasa.
Later, the Muslim residents made a representation and got the lock opened but the litigation is betting prolonged. Mr. Nabi, the hotel owner was cooperating in the construction of Deeni Madrasa. It was decided that no one in the village would talk to him and no body will transact any business from his hotel. The village residents feel that if Mr. Nabi dissociates from the affairs of Deeni Madrasa his social boycott would end. Mr. Nabi categorically said that his association would continue despite difficulties.
The opponents are giving an impression that in Deeni Madrasa, ISI agents live and hence there is an apprehension of communal riot. They are also threatening to dismantle the building of Deeni Madrasa. The director of Deeni Madrasa said that if this is the situation in Warangal District of Telangana where a sizeable population of the Muslims live, what would be the position in areas where the Muslim population is less.
He appealed to the secular minded political leaders to come forward to resolve this issue.
