(Siasat News) A seminar of the intellectuals was held by Tameer-e-Millat at Madina Education Centre on “Is it legitimate to celebrate cessation of Hyderabad as the day of relief?” Mr. Mohammed Abdul Raheem Qureshi presided over the function in his speech he told that the British distorted history and spread communalism to strengthen their rule. They presented the wrong image of the Muslim rulers. The communal organizations like RSS etc. are following the same policy. There is a need to nullify their evil designs and conspiracies by conducting seminars like this. He further told that there is a need for creating awareness campaign against such conspiracy. The development of Hindutva philosophy is the objective of these communal forces. It is therefore necessary for the secular forces to get united for which a country wide movement is needed for which the services of secular minded intellectuals like Dr. Chiranjeevi and Captain Pandu Ranga Reddy would be utilized. He further told that celebrating the merger of erstwhile Hyderabad state into Indian Union as day of relief is an inhuman act. It is therefore necessary to prepare a strategy and a plan of action to prevent these communal elements to celebrate 17th September as a festival so that the communal harmony of the past of Telangana region could be restored.
Captain Pandu Rangareddy told that the duty of military is to protect the country from the attacks of the enemies but the Indian Army attack the people of Hyderabad in the name of Police Action which is a prove that military targets the common citizens. He told that Indian Army forcibly merged Hyderabad state into Indian Union. In the name of Police Action more than 1 lakh Muslims were killed. In 5 districts of Marathwada and 3 districts of Muslims were killed on the basis of their religion.
Dr. Chiranjeevi told that Telangana is the most sensitive issue. He told that RSS and Arya Samaj are trying to make it a complicated issue. The purpose of these organizations is to hurt the sentiments of Muslims by celebrating 17th September as the day of relief.
Mr. Ziauddin Nayyar, Convener of the seminar conducted the meeting. Dr. Hasanuddin Ahmed, IAS (Rtd), former Chairman of A.P. State Minorities Commission released the books written on Maulana Sulieman Sikandar and on Police Action.
