Hyderabad: The Telangana State Legislature Committee on Welfare of Minorities will visit Nizamabad on November 10, to inspect Dargah Hazrat Saadullah Husaini, Bada Pahad and will talk to District Collector and Forest Department officials in connection with the protection of 711 acre Waqf land of the Dargah.
The legislative Committee will also review arrangements of Dargah and alternative arrangements will be mulled over. Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Asadullah told that the record of 711 acre Waqf land attached to Dargah Hazrat Saadullah Husaini is present in the Waqf Board but the Forest Department declares just 18 acre land as attached to Dargah.
Chief Executive Officer told that details of 711 acre Waqf land are recorded in Kitabul Awqaf of 1958 and the Waqf gazettes of 1960 and 1969 also give evidence to the presence of 711 Waqf land. Thus despite clear indication in Waqf record, ownership claim by Forest Department is quite surprising.
