Committee setup to prepare master plans for Temples

The State Government on Friday constituted a committee to prepare and evaluation of Master Plans for temples.
According to the GO issued by Endowments Department secretary B Venkateshwara Rao, the committee was constituted with A.P.V.N. Sarma, I.A.S. ( Former Executive Officer, Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam), Stapathy, Endowments Department , R.Kondala Rao, Engineer-in- chief (Retd.,) Panchayat Raj Department, S.Viswanath, Former Member (Urban planning) and Director (Planning) HMDA, Chief Engineer, Endowments Department, Hyderabad. (Member Convener).
The Terms of References of the Committee are to scrutinize the Master Plan of the temple which are already prepared and yet to be prepared and recommend to the Commissioner, Endowment Department and to review and finalise the proposals. The committee should also finalise the Master Plans within 6 months and should give suitable suggestions in over all functioning and improvement of the temple and suitable measures to be taken.
The Committee may invite or call any Architect’s/ Agama Sastra Experts, etc. to take suggestions and to finalise the master plan. The Commissioner, Endowments Department shall give logistic support for the field visit etc., to the Committee Members and Commissioner of Endowments Department shall submit the finalized master plans based on the recommendations of the Committee to the Government for approval.(NSS)
