Telangana government has constituted a state level committee to look after the implementation of Prime Minister’s 15 Points Programme for the Welfare of Minorities. The committee comprising of 18 members headed by Chief Secretary has been constituted which will review the implementation of 15 point programme on regular intervals.
Provision of better educational facilities to minorities, proper participation of minorities in economic activities and employment will be ensured under the programme. It aims at improving the standard of living of minorities, their participation in Rural Housing Scheme and providing adequate opportunities to minorities in infrastructure development schemes.
The committee will play key role in providing training to minorities in various professional fields and provision of opportunities in Central government jobs. It would be tried to utilize 15 pc of the total budget outlay on minority welfare.
