Finance Minister Etela Rajendar has said the KCR government was working towards the goal of providing water tap connection to every house in the villages in the State. Stating that there was no dearth of funds for welfare and developmental activities in the State, Rajendar said the government was keen on transforming the fledgling State into “Bangaru” Telangana.
As a part of Water Grid program, the Finance Minister and Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj K. Taraka Ramarao inspected the Ellampalli Sripadasagar Projet pump house, which releases water to Ramagundam, Peddapalli and Dharmapuri constituencies on Sunday morning.
Speaking at a meeting arranged in Kukkalaguda village later, Rajendar said the TRS government was committed to execute the Water Grid program for providing water connection to every house in the villages. Unlike the previous governments which slowly acted only after receiving petitions from the people to solve their problems, the present government was going to the people’s door step to solve their problems. During the previous undivided State, the Seemandhra leaders enjoyed power and pelf with the resources of Telangana region.
The Finance Minister also disclosed that the State government released orders for provision of 5,000 gas connections in every Assembly constituency. He also disclosed that the Telangana government has decided to set up shortly a Genco power plant at Ramagundam area in the place of DTL. He also said the government would soon take up reconstruction of fertilizer faction at Ramagundam.
