State Waqf Board initiated measures to improve the condition of Anees-ul-Ghurba, Nampally and to provide basic facilities to the poor children and orphans staying there. Commissioner Minority Welfare and Special Officer Waqf Board Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal visited Aneesul Ghurba and reviewed the condition. They listened to the problems of its workers and children staying there. He directed chief executive officer Waqf Board M A Hameed to prepare a report on it. He informed besides providing basic facilities we are also providing the students, almirahs, blankets, sweaters, tiffin boxes, water bottles etc. It has also been decided to provide bus passes to the students. Most of these children are studying in English medium schools and we are also focusing on providing educational needs. Renovation and painting of the Aneesul Ghurba building will be started soon. Chief executive officer will submit a report to special officer Waqf board after which the required budget will be sanctioned.
It must be noted that after receiving repeated complaints regarding miserable condition of Aneesul Ghurba the Waqf Board has taken its charge from endowment department. The number of children staying there is 60 and the number of staff is 18.
