Commissioner GHMC Mr. M T Krishna Babu visited various areas of old city on Sunday and inspected the performance of rainwater flow and drainage system. Directing compensation of damages caused by the rain during previous days, he ordered to begin repair work immediately after assessing the damages caused by the heavy rain to roads and drainage system, so that people may not face any kind of inconvenience during Ramadan-ul-Mubarak.
Mr. M T Krishna Babu also inspected low lying areas of the old city. He ordered cleaning of nalas so as to ensure smooth water flow. He also directed the officials to clear off the debris soon after the demolishing work done for road widening. He ordered to lay CC road in the areas where drainage and water pipelines have been laid.
