Former Chairman, HUDA Mr. Khaja Khaledullah welcomed that proposal of the CM of A.P. for the establishment of commissioner’s office in the Dept. of Minorities Welfare. He also thanked the Govt. for the enhancement of Minorities budget to Rs. 489 crore.
He said that Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy is a minority friendly CM. He fulfilled the promise he had made for the upliftment of minorities. Minorities are happy with this decision. He pointed out that during TDP period the budget of minorities Dept. was only Rs. 36 crore till 2004.
The step taken by the CM of A.P. is worth emulating by other states. He provided scholarships, reimbursed fees and sanctioned amount for Haj House. He has also given compensation to the Muslim youths who were arrested after Makkah Masjid bomb blast.
