The TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao has written letters to the TDP and the YSR Congress to join with him in pulling the government down.
KCR has attended the dharna of the clothe merchants protesting against the VAT at the Indira Park on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, he assured the merchants that his party would fight against the VAT in the Assembly and outside. He said in the new Telangana state there would be no VAT.
Stating that VAT was non prevalent in any other state, he said the ministers should bring pressure on the government to withdraw VAT. He assured the merchants that his party would move the no-confidence motion and bring the government down.
Meanwhile, party sources said KCR would be riting letters to the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu and the YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to support his party’s no-confidence motion.
