IT Minister KT Rama Rao today said the TRS Government was indebted to journalists, who played a pivotal role in separate Telangana State movement.
Participating in a condolence meeting of senior journalist Hariprasad here on Thursday, KTR handed over a cheque for Rs 2 lakh to the bereaved family members.
Speaking on the occasion, the IT minister maintained that the TRS government will bear all expenses of education of two children of Hariprasad, besides providing all succor to the family in distress. KTR said they will resolve all the issues related to journalists in the State. The TRS Government has great concern for the journalists and the credit goes to them, who have elevated all leaders to the peak during Telangana statehood movement, he asserted.
KTR also said the State government was ready to find a solution to all the issues and problems of about 12,000 journalists in the State. He advised the scribes to come up with suitable proposals and information to find solution to their problems. The TRS Government would repay to journalists for their role in the statehood movement, he remarked. (NSS)
