New Delhi, April 19: A teenaged college student has approached police alleging that her neighbour raped her several times after abducting her five days ago.
The B.Sc student claimed in her complaint that she was raped by her 23-year-old neighour, a car-mechanic by profession, several times between April 13 and 16, a senior police official said today.
She alleged that he abducted her from Mehrauli- Badarpur Road on April 13 and took her to Greater Noida where he held her hostage and raped her several times for the next three days.
The official claimed that the girl had on April 15 approached police along with the accused to the Govindpuri police station and claimed that she had gone with him on her own.
However the next day, the official claimed, she changed her statement recorded before a Sub Divisional Magistrate saying that she was raped by the accused several times.
Her father had on April 13 approached police after she did not return home. She returned home on April 16 and told her parents that the neighbour had allegedly raped her.
The girl had claimed that she was waiting for a bus when the accused forced her inside the car and drove to Greater Noida where he kept her hostage.
On April 16, the official said, she managed to flee from the accused’s place.
A case under sections of 376 (rape), 365 (abduction), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 342 (wrongful confinement) of Indian Penal Code has been filed.
